Q. Is this a commercial venture?
A. No. This is a conceptual art exhibition. Fugitivprints will be available only at the gallery during the run of the show.
Q. Why is each print marked “Fugitivart” and with a “born” date on the back?
A. We want to ensure that all prints are clearly marked “Fugitivart” so that they can not be resold as archival art. The “born” date is added at printing so that you know that the print is “fresh.”
Q. But what if I grow to love my print?
A. All Fugitivart prints have artist or gallery contact information on the back so that you can buy an archival print to replace your Fugitvart ‘loaner.’
Q. Do you sell Fugitivart inks and paper treatments?
A. No. We are artists and curators not vendors of photographic supplies.
Q. Who can I contact to discuss this for an article?
A. Use the contact page to send us a note.
Q. Can I make my own Fugitivart prints?
A. No. Fugitivart is our trademark, which we’ve developed exclusively for this exhibition. You can, of course, develop your own method for making self-destructing prints. Just don’t refer to them as Fugitivart prints.
